Welcome to the 2012 California Race Tracker! 11/13/2011: Just put in the maps and data of the new districts for the U.S. House delegation, state legislature, and the Board of Equalization. 11/24/2010: In addition to the presidential race, this site will track the U.S. Senate race, where Dianne Feinstein (D) has hinted that she'll run for reelection, the U.S. House races, the odd-numbered State Senate district races, the State Assembly district races, Supreme Court justices up that year, and ballot measures. For the district pages, I will first put up the incumbent information. I will include district maps, demographics, partisanship, etc. when they are announced next year. Please feel free to jump right in and contribute anything you think might be useful for everyone heading into 2012. If you've heard about a candidate possibly running for office, please either include a link to a reputable news source or clearly note that what you've added is merely a rumor, an educated guess, a recruitment idea, or just conventional wisdom. Rumors are okay, but they ought to have some basis in reality. |
